## Inserting the Number of Issues Returned by a JQL Query

[Xporter](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/891368/xporter-export-issues-from-jira?tab=overview&hosting=cloud) for Jira Cloud enables you to insert, into the document, the number of issues returned by executing a JQL query.

**Definition**

---
`${jqlcount:<JQL Query>}`

##### **Sample Code**

```
${jqlcount:Project = DEMO}
```

<span style="color: #0d0d0d">The example above will include the number of issues from the DEMO project in the document.</span>

## FilterJQL & FilterName

> ℹ️ This feature is exclusively available when exporting via the *Export* menu on the *Issue Navigator* screen.

Additionally, Xporter for Jira allows you to render the FilterJQL and FilterName used to search for issues on the *Issue Navigator* screen.

**Definition**

---
`${FilterJQL}`<br>`${FilterName}`

## Filter

<span style="color: #0d0d0d">Now, you can work with the filters defined on your Jira instance. To obtain the JQL statement, simply map:</span>

---
`${filter:<Filter name> or <Filter ID>}`

Moreover, if you want to export the jqlCount, you don't need to include the entire JQL Query. You just need to use the filter name or the filter ID to retrieve all the entries associated with this filter:

---
`${jqlcount:${filter:<Filter name> or <Filter ID>}}`

<span style="color: #0d0d0d">You can iterate over issues with the JQL associated with a filter within the clause parameter by providing only the filter name or filter ID:</span>

##### **Sample Code**

```
A simple example iterating the details of issues from a filter already defined on your Jira
#{for i=JQLIssuesCount|clause=${filter:<Filter Name> or <FilterId>}}
 ${JQLIssues[i].Key}
 ${JQLIssues[i].Summary}
#{end}
```

## JQL Limit of Issues

After defining a maximum number of issues in *Global Settings*, JQL issues processing will replace any iteration exceeding that limit with a warning message.

This enhancement aims to prevent Jira's performance from decreasing, especially in cases where a large number of issues need to be exported. This validation will be applied to all types of exports provided by Xporter.

The maximum number of issues is 10 (Figure 1).
