# Introduction

You may want to export the contents of multiple Jira Issues without repeating certain sections of the [Xporter](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/891368/xporter-export-issues-from-jira?tab=overview&hosting=cloud) Template.

<span style="color: #0d0d0d">For example, you might want to display specific information only at the beginning or end of the document.</span>

In this exercise, you'll learn how to export information from multiple Jira issues within a specific section of a single [Template](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/427622/Working+with+Templates).

# Exporting Multiple Issues with Static Sections

> Macro (rw-ui-steps-macro)
>
> > ℹ️ To provide this functionality, Xporter supports a special notation.
> > ℹ️
> > ℹ️ You can define [which sections of the Template will be populated for each issue](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/428193/Static+Sections+for+Bulk+Export), and which sections will be static.
>
> > Macro (rw-step)
>
> The notation you'll use is demonstrated below:
>
> |  |
> | --- |
> | *This is the header of the Bulk Export; this section will be rendered a single time.*<br>**&{for issues}**
> *This section will be repeated for every issue.*
> Issue Key: ${Key}
> Issue Summary: ${Summary}
> **&{end}**<br>*This is the footer of the Bulk Export; this section will be rendered a single time.* |
>
> > Macro (rw-step)
>
> You can take this functionality to another level by applying filters to the iteration. This can be useful if you want to place the Issues of a specific type (e.g., Bug) in a section of the Template and the Issues of another type (e.g., Story) in another section.
>
> This notation is demonstrated below:
>
> |  |
> | --- |
> | *The following section will list the issues of the type Bug:*<br>**&{for issues|filter=%{'${IssueTypeName}'.equals('Bug')}}**<br>Issue Key: ${Key}<br>Issue Summary: ${Summary}<br>**&{end}**<br>*The following section will list the issues of the type Story:*<br>**&{for issues|filter=%{'${IssueTypeName}'.equals('Story')}}**<br>Issue Key: ${Key}<br>Issue Summary: ${Summary}<br>**&{end}**<br>*This is the footer of the Bulk Export; this section will be rendered a single time.* |
>
> > ℹ️ - When using [XLSX Templates](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/558471/Excel+Templates), <span style="color: #0d0d0d">remember to define the iteration for multiple columns by</span> merging a row of columns and placing the `&{for issues...}` inside that merged cell.
> > ℹ️ - <span style="color: #0d0d0d">Similarly, </span><span style="color: #0d0d0d">Similarly, define the </span>`&{end}`<span style="color: #0d0d0d"> within the same iteration. All content between the </span>`&{for issues...}`<span style="color: #0d0d0d"> definition and the </span>`&{end}`<span style="color: #0d0d0d"> will not be duplicated for each iteration.</span>
