## Introduction

[Xporter](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/891368/xporter-export-issues-from-jira?tab=overview&hosting=cloud) allows Jira Project administrators to create and manage Templates at the Project level.

All features related to [Templates](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/431152/Templates) management on [Xporter App Administration](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/460808) are included at this level of configuration.

> ℹ️ Only Project administrators will have access to the operations related to the instructions on this page.

> ℹ️ From now on, the Project administrators can add, edit, and delete Templates on the Project level. These Templates will only be available to export issues from that project.

## Accessing Templates

## Managing Templates

### No Templates Installed

If you don't have a template created yet, your screen will look like Figure 4.

Here, you can:

- Click the *Upload* button (Figure 4 - 4) to upload an external template from your machine. Then, follow the instructions from [Step 5, on this page](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/427622/Working+with+Templates#Adding-an-External-Template).
- Click the *Store* button (Figure 4 - 5) to Install a template from the [Xporter template store](https://store.getxporter.app/). Then, follow the instructions from [Step 5, on this page](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/427622/Working+with+Templates#Adding-a-Template-from-the-Store).
- Click the *Learn more* button (Figure 4 - 6) to go to the [Xporter Templates documentation](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/431152/Templates).
- Use the toggle <span style="color: #111111">(Figure 4 - 7) </span>to <span style="color: #111111">disable/enable global Templates in the project. When you (the Project administrator) disable the global Templates, Xporter will check if any global template is used in </span>[<span style="color: #111111">Project Permission Schemes</span>](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/528718/Permission+Schemes)<span style="color: #111111"> or </span>[<span style="color: #111111">Post Functions</span>](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/460608/Workflow+-+Post+Function)<span style="color: #111111">. If these dependencies exist, a modal will be displayed (Figure 6).</span>

### <span style="color: #111111">Templates Installed</span>

<span style="color: #111111">If you have Templates already installed, your screen will look like Figure 5.</span>

Here, you can:

- Use the search bar to find installed Templates (Figure 5 - 1).
- See the list of the Templates available and their details (Figure 5 - 2).
- Use the toggle <span style="color: #111111">(Figure 5 - 3) </span>to <span style="color: #111111">disable/enable global Templates in the project. When you disable the global Templates, Xporter will check if any global template is used in Project Permission Schemes or Post Functions. If these dependencies exist, a modal will be displayed (Figure 6).</span>
- Click the *Add* button (Figure 5 - 4) to [upload an external template from your machine](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/427622/Working+with+Templates#Adding-an-External-Template).
- Click the *Store* button (Figure 5 - 5) to [find and install a template from the Xporter Template Store](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTERCLOUD/427622/Working+with+Templates#Adding-a-Template-from-the-Store).
- Click the gear icon (Figure 5 - 6) to download, edit, delete, and/or set an existing Template as default.

> ℹ️ After setting a template as default on the project level, this template will overlap the administration default template. This means that, when exporting an issue from that project, the default template will be the project default instead of the global default (unless that project doesn't have a defined default template).
