## Introduction

> ℹ️ [Jira Misc Custom Fields](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview) is available on **Xporter for Jira 5.3.0+.**

[Xporter for Jira](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/891368/xporter-export-issues-from-jira?tab=installation&hosting=datacenter) allows you to extract data from every Jira Misc custom field.

## Usage

### Definition

Let's say this Jira Misc Custom Field is named Jira Misc custom field. The definition is: `${Jira Misc custom field}`

No other special configuration is required.

There are several types of Jira Misc custom fields:

- [Calculated Number Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-calculatednumberfield).
- [Calculated Text Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-calculatedtextfield).
- [Calculated Date/Time Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-calculateddatefield).
- [Transition Date/Time Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-transitiondatefield).
- [Transition Caller Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-transitioncallerfield).
- [Transition Count Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-transitioncountfield).
- [Last Field Value Change Date/Time Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-fieldmodifieddate).
- [Last Field Value Change Author Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-fieldmodifiedby).
- [Parent Status Field](https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JMCF/overview#JIRAMiscCustomFields-parentstatusfield).

They can all be exported in the same way.

> ℹ️ When exporting these custom fields, we highly suggest using the [Xporter formatting functions](https://confluence.getxray.app/display/public/XPORTER/Formatting+Fields) to get the data in a more presentable way.

### Examples

Below are ways to extract data from a Jira Misc custom field.

If you want to extract the raw data from a normal Jira Misc Calculated Date custom field named *Jira Misc calculated date field*, use: `${Jira Misc calculated date field}`

To get a more presentable date, we recommend that you apply the *dateformat* function like this: `${dateformat("yyyy-MM-dd"):Jira Misc calculated date field}`

Another example:

![Figure 1 - Example](media://ad0d8e06-0d89-4d8a-b5e3-10d83265a6aa)

If you need to export the custom field above, you can use this [mapping](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTER/1413922): `${last field change author}`

As with all our User-type custom fields, you can apply the *fullname* and *emailaddress* functions.

To do this, write: `${fullname:last field change author}` and `${emailaddress:last field change author}`
