The Template screen allows administrators to add, edit, and delete Templates that will be available for all projects.

> ℹ️ Xporter provides a way to manage Templates on the project level. Project administrators don't need to depend on Jira Administration to manage their [Templates](https://docs.getxporter.app/space/XPORTER/1409260/Project+-+Templates).

## Access

> On your Jira Data Center instance, click the gear/*Administration* icon (Figure 1 - 1) and click *Manage apps* (Figure 1 - 2).

## Operations

- **Add Template **(Figure 2 - 3): allows you to create a new Template by uploading an external file.
- **Xporter Store **(Figure 2 - 4): allows you to install sample Templates from the [Xporter Template Store](https://store.getxporter.app/) directly from this screen.
- **Search **(Figure 2 - 2): allows quick access to The template you want to access by searching for the Template name or filename.
- **Edit Template **(Figure 2 - 6): allows you to change an existing Template by editing the Template details or even the template file.
- **Delete Template **(Figure 2 - 6).
- **Download Template **(Figure 2 - 6): allows you to download the Template file on your machine.
- **Set Template as Default** (Figure 2 - 6): allows you to set a Template as the default. It will be selected when users open the issue view screen.
- **Remove Template as Default**: allows you to remove a template as the default. This option is only visible if the selected Template is set as default.

### Template Details

You can access a Template's details once you add a new Template, or when you edit an existing Template (Figure 3), after clicking the gear icon (Figure 2 - 5).

Each template has the following attributes:

- **Name **(Figure 3 - 1): the Template name that is displayed to the users and that will be shown in Figure 1 - 2. Mandatory field.
- **Description **(Figure 3 - 2): description of the goal of the Template. Optional field, up to a maximum of 500 characters.
- **Scopes **(Figure 3 - 3): scope where the Template will be available to create a new report.
- **File **(Figure 3 - 4): the file with the template content. The following formats are supported:
  - DOCX (Word Document).
  - DOCM (Word Document with Macros).
  - DOTX (Word Template).
  - DOTM (Word Template with Macros).
  - XLSX (Excel document).
  - XLSM (Excel Template with Macros).
  - ODT (Open Office document).
  - RTF (Rich Text Format).
  - CSV (Comma-separated values).
  - TXT (Text File).

The fields below are only shown after clicking *Advanced* (Figure 3 - 5).

- **Output formats **(Figure 3 - 6): the list of Template formats available.
- **Default output format **(Figure 3 - 7): the default output format for when the Template is selected to be used.
- **Default break page type **(Figure 3 - 8):The default value for the break page type.
- **Attach Files **(Figure 3 - 9): define if Xporter will or not include Issue attachments for this Template.

#### Template Scopes 

Template scopes (Figure 3 - 3) define where the template will be available. The following scopes are available:

| Structure | Structure (ALM Works app) |
| JSD Queues | Jira Service Desk Queues (Agent view) |
| Agile Boards | Backlog, Active Sprint, and Kanban |
| Agile Releases | Manage release on Agile/Kanban boards.<br>Xporter is available on Release list and detail screen. |

## Xporter Template Store

Xporter provides another way to get Templates: you can use the Template Store to access and install free Templates. 

The Store is available on the Templates screen (Figure 2 - 4). Once you click the *Store* button (Figure 2 - 4), a modal will open (Figure 4).

Here, you can:

- Check, the available Templates.
- Install and re-install all of the available Templates (Figure 4 - 4).
- Search for Templates (Figure 4 - 1).
- Filter the search by categories (Figure 4 - 2).
- Sort the search results by rating, downloads and/or publish date (Figure 4 - 3).
- See a preview of the Template (Figure 5).
